“What is good deadlift form, and is lower back pain while performing the exercise normal?”
Well lower back pain is not rare and a lot of newer gym goers have this problem but the main reason is your back is exhausted from other heavy weight exercises. This can happen so people do to much exercises back to back like squatting one day and deadlifting the next. It can also occur due to heavy weights and I would recommend buying a lifting belt to help with the pain.
For the second part of your question there are different types of deadlifts but the 2 most common are the sumo deadlift and the conventional deadlift but I only do sumo so I’ll tell you about that one. The sumo deadlift has a wide leg stance and the best way to check if you have good form is to record your self and check if your shins are vertical, lats are engaged, hips are above your knees and below your shoulders and when you lift the weights you lift with your whole body and that your flutes don’t go up first then the rest of your body.
“Will you change your program or follow the same one for the next few months”
I will be changing the program to Jeff Nippards PPL program. When I change I won’t track my weights for all my exercises or put the program in the workouts section as this ain’t my workout.
I also won’t track my weights as I am a powerlifter and I am choosing to do 1 month of power lifting which is what this month is and then 2 months of body building training and then repeat.
That being said I will track my weights for certain exercises like bench press, deadlifts etc.
